I was very recently at their central Milan location next to the cathedral for a few days and found it to be quite busy. In fact, some days I wasn't able to get a slot to use the shared space. However, a not insignificant percentage of people in the shared space were students on a discounted membership who were there due to inadequate study space at the local university. I also found their more central Madrid locations to be quite reliably busy.
