Elon Musk’s Twitter journalist purge has begun
- xqcgrek2 4y agoIt's strange that Vox is allowed here but similarly partisan websites on the other side are not (e.g. Breitbart).
- dang 4y agoSimilarly partisan websites are treated the same way on all sides: the milder ones are downweighted, the hard-core ones are banned. This is a consequence of what we're trying to optimize HN for: https://hn.algolia.com/?dateRange=all&page=0&prefix=true&sort=byDate&type=comment&query=curiosity%20optimiz%20by:dang https://hn.algolia.com/?dateRange=all&page=0&prefix=true&sor.... The milder ones still produce a few interesting needles amid their haystack of fluff, while the hard-core ones mostly just lead to flamewars.

- evolve2k 4y agoMost of the journalists who were banned have migrated to Mastodon, which is also experiencing another mass influx. Here’s where to find a number of the journalists and their comments on the matter.
