Developer platforms are all about trust, and Twitter lost it
- Archipelagia 4y agoI think many of these articles are overestimating how things will change. Like, is the current mess going to hurt Twitter? Definitely. Does it mean that Twitter will become completely marginalized and in 2-5 years nobody will ever user it? Seems unlikely to me. Unless some other competitor kills it, I don't think Musk alone can completely take it the company underwater (though not for a lack of trying!). I suspect we can expect a slow decay, not a sudden self-destruction.
