sanctions against a privately owned website eh? I've seen sites blocked because of illegal content etc but never because a website banned certain users
- ratg13 4y agoNot certain users, but the press. EUs digital services act / media freedom act, protects journalists from being censored.
- Georgelemental 4y agoWhat if you are not an official sanctioned "journalist", with a stamp of approval from the powers that be? Do mere mortals like me get a right to free expression?
- AlchemistCamp 4y agoIf it's anything like what I've encountered in German culture, literally everything hangs on the official credential. Journalists who are working independently or for non-mainstream organizations won't get this treatment. On the contrary, the government would be more likely to push for them to be suspended or for their reach to be suppressed/

- ratg13 4y agoThe law is in place but hasn’t gone into enforcement yet. Enforcement starts next year.
