I think it's a perfectly reasonable rule. Most of the reporting on where people go will not suffer from having a next-day delay on social media. Journalists who cover Bezos / Zuck / Elon full time can always constantly refresh ADS-B tracking websites, but that doesn't mean they have to be able to post live location tracking on Twitter.
