For passive carbon capture, I don’t understand what you’re proposing. Let’s pretend: Joe Biden gives you a nuclear aircraft carrier and a team of nuclear engineers. Now what?
- janalsncm 4y agoSorry, “passive” is confusing here. It’s not actually passive at all. I mean to use nuclear power for Direct Air Capture: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Direct_air_capture https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Direct_air_capture DAC requires large fans to move air over a chemical filter. You need to power those fans with something that doesn’t release CO2.
- tdaltonc 4y agoBut then where are you putting the CO2? Terrestrial DAC usually pumps it in to some geological formation.
