One thing software engineers can do now is push legislation that will protect their jobs from being replace by AI. It won’t be that long until there is a 10x improvement in AI-based software development over human-based, easily on the order of legislation lifecycle. When that happens, we need to be legally at the table, or we will straight up be cut out of the profits by billionaires and hedgefunds, because fuck us and anybody except for them (it is their world financially).
