The sea is a harsh mistress, but if anything is going to lend itself to seaworthiness, something solid state like solar panels makes a lot of sense. Especially if we can work out flexible/durable panels.
More sensitive electronics and the batteries can be put in sealed compartments.
- swagasaurus-rex 4y agoYou could also make them very wide and inflexible. Larger boats can handle stormy weather and big swells if they face into the waves because their hulls are longer than the wavelength between waves. If there’s an enormous rogue wave however…
