- cwkoss 4y agoI wonder what tiktok's total revenue / tiktoks total views is? If they paid out every cent that came in, what would that compensation rate look like? I've got to imagine it would still be a number many people would be unsatisfied with.
- winternett 4y agoIn 2014, I made about $3,500 for about a million views (and related licensing) on a single video I uploaded to YouTube once... Since then the company has dodged paying me and they have posted the video to multiple social media sites. The words "Internet" and "Scam" are rapidly converging more and more ever year. The problem with the current "creator economy" is that people spend a lot of time and money only to find out later that they won't get paid, while web sites and apps rack up the money and then lie about statistics and the opportunity they create. More money (mostly in the form of unpaid labor) has probably been stolen over time on social media than FTX if you really think about it.
- pcurve 4y agoIn comparison, it's about $30-40 per 1 million view for Youtube shorts.
- danrocks 4y agoWow that's nothing.
