You really should use the tech you like if you are serious about your product, if you see yourself as a craftsman, if you feel like you want to make something good, because as a founder/maintainer you are going to spend a huge lot of time working on it, tweaking it, sweating about it, and also enjoying it, so it better be something you trust and like. If you are just there for the money however (VCs, HN, github stars, ...), trying to make an MVP and run, just go with the shiny and trendy.
