As things are in much of the world now, in other words. GDP is a terrible measure of “success”, and yet remains the primary indicator used by the international community to judge that very thing.
- D13Fd 4y agoGDP gets used a lot because it is a measure that can be computed more easily, reliably, and objectively than many other measures. That doesn’t mean it’s perfect, just more broadly useful than other options.
