I was driving through heavy rain recently and had a small epiphany: human drivers are willing to take way more risks under adverse weather conditions. There was no way the car could stop quickly from 65mph on a wet road if something appeared suddenly in front of it. The robot driver would really have to drive way slower than anybody else in order to be safe. That would be annoying for the passengers. In some countries it would also be constantly honked at.
