So you wouldn't see a problem with someone publishing everywhere your car goes?
- cinntaile 4y agoThat's not a public record, so I fail to see how it's relevant.
- googlryas 4y agoYou drive your car around in public with identifying information on it, anyone can derive a record of its public movements if they were inclined. For example by just following you around on public roads and streaming it, like how paparazzi operate legally.
- cinntaile 4y agoNow you reversed the data collection process, a jet has to transmit this data and this data is public by default. It's a very different situation.
- googlryas 4y agoYou have to transmit your license plate information visually as you drive, so I don't really see the difference. The fact that some data is public doesn't mean shining a spotlight on specific elements easily is an appropriate thing to do.
- cinntaile 4y agoThis is going nowhere, I'm out.
