LTspice at least had a gui! I remember sketching schematics by hand, marking up nodes with names, then feeding plaintext into PSpice. But it worked great!

- gumboza 4y agoYes indeed. I used to do that on a Sun workstation back in the 1990s as well. Then go and make some tea while the simulation was running.
