I wonder if it's the case of, "someone will ship this even if I quit and lose my income, so I may as well do it."
- lamontcg 4y agoThe individual engineers working there probably make whatever part of the code that they're working on much better--before they get burned out and quit after a year or three and then that part of the codebase rots.
