The viral AI avatar app Lensa undressed me–without my consent
- jleyank 4y agoObviously they feel you gave consent when you clicked ok. Doesn’t this show what they’re trained against? What do non white/Asian folks get?
- ddmma 4y agoExactly you give consent when uploading your freaking face on their platform. Even so, you pay for it and then complain.
- version_five 4y agoThe author needs to tone it down a bit. This is an interesting article and it raises a good point about bias in large web datasets (amidst a sea of exaggerated claims that from people trying to find bias everywhere). But nobody is served by the diatribes about historical injustice and the anthropomorphization of an ML model - even the "without my consent" is way over the top. The people who wrote this tool should be embarrassed (not worse) and should pay more attention to working with raw data that's been pulled out of the cesspool that is the internet. There's no need to make this about some systemic conspiracy of society against you
