So the SVG file of the flag has a <title> tag... <title>Flag of the Comoros</title>

    Is that important? How easy is for the user read that information? If someone wants to cheat, it's easier to use Google Image Search.

      Super easy - for example opening the image in a new tab... but yes, clearly cheaters can't really be stopped, only slowed. I would suggest (to further slow lazy cheaters) making the flag svg the css background of a div, and maybe even for a little extra fun putting a transparent nocheating.png in it, to stop people just dragging the flag image into Google Image Search / Yandex / etc.

        I tried looking at the source code, but the name was not there. I forgot to try to open the flag in a new tab.

  It's strange that you mix the flags from provinces. Here in Argentina each province has a flag, but we don't care about them. They are used in some official ceremonies and buildings, but everyone else just ignore them. I really expect that nobody elsewhere in the world cares about the flags of the provinces of Argentina. [spoiler alert] I tried choosing as the cue the currency code. It should give probably the initial letter of the country and perhaps a good idea of the rest. But today, it not as helpful as I expected. :(

    Thanks for your feedback gus_massa! Yes -- I think that EUR for today's one wouldn't have helped much, but the region/sub-region might have :-) You raise a good point around province flags -- I was planning to add more and more states/provinces (i.e. from Brazil and Span) -- currently have 305 flags -- if we want this game to last for a few years :-D

      Perhaps a normal version with countries and territories, and an extended version for hard core users with flags of provinces. Which currency do you show for a province? (Like 25 years ago we had a big economical mess here and each province had their own currency. It was solved after and even bigger economical mess. Now we are somewhat stable and with only one currency for the whole country.)

        It defaults to the national currency. I like the idea about beginner/intermediate/hard -- good shout!

  Thanks kleer001, I haven't yet -- I tried the other day but didn't know how "best" to post without it being obscured in the results. Do you think it's good to go there? (happy for you to post if you like? :-))

    It's good to go but there is nothing you can do to prevent it getting drowned in the noise, such is reddit. If the moderators take it down for whatever reason (/r/vexillogy mods are famously trigger-happy), you can post to /r/vexillogycirclejerk which is much more lenient.

Utterly broken UI for me, sorry to report (Chrome/Android). I tap in the textbox, start typing "DU" because I think it might be Dubai, and it autoselects HONDURAS for me. WTF? Tapping in the textbox and pressing backspace just defocuses (keyboard disappears) and keeps Honduras selected. So, from my perspective, unplayable. Still, seems like you've built something interesting that others here seem to like, so congrats and good luck.

  Ah I think I know why this might be -- it tries to be clever and select the only possible answer it could be (you can click Clear to remove the selection though). Will review, thanks
