This is a surprising level of pedantry even for HN. It’s pretty clear what the term means in this context I think.
- MrPatan 4y agoOh, it's clear, except that it's also part of the campaign to make it seem as if FTX customers are partly to blame, because everybody knows that if you lend money to the bank, the bank lends it out. But FTX is not a bank, and had absolutely no business lending out customer deposits. So yes, please, more pedantry now, to prevent any more attempts at "narrative drift"
