I see anecdotally on Twitter and a lot of countries subreddits that there is a huge surge of illness right now. Pretty much everyone I know also has some cough/cold/flu thing going on too.
This all feels more acute than Covid ever did but isn’t getting any airtime.
- SketchySeaBeast 4y agoI think you may not be paying attention to the news - at least here in Canada there has been a discussion since the fall started and the rate of illness skyrocketed.
- mensetmanusman 4y agoIt’s interesting because people predicting that the rate of increase of common illnesses would skyrocket due to lockdowns were labeled fake news two years ago.
- rdtwo 4y agoNobody knows the mechanism. Is it “immune debt” or is it secondary immune weakness due to covid? Or just bad luck? Lots theories little evidence
- kodyo 4y agoIt's getting airtime here, but there's a lot of tiptoeing around the topic of the last three years of radical interventionism.
- rr888 4y agoI've seen a lot of airtime. Google tripledemic. NYC recommends wearing masks again.
