- masswerk 4y agoTo be fair, the goal of ChatGPT is to generate a highly probable answer. Given modern software ecosystems, we have to admit that it's highly plausible that a problem wouldn't be solved in code, but be delegated to a module that already exists. Which is also often regarded as the more elegant solution. This merely reflects the training data. Mind that this is not about knowledge or the factual world, but about probability. (On a more general level: just because it looks like a solution – which is the goal of the app –, this doesn't necessarily mean that it is one. It's meant to impress, not to inform.)
