- quantified 4y agoIf Trump was truly wealthy, he could have bought Twitter himself instead of starting a lame competitor. So Musk has really shown who's bigger and more important right now. Musk can't be president, his birth certificate is not in order, but he can have all the fun and be a kingmaker, maybe.
- Trouble_007 4y ago>"Kanye West says Elon Musk is half Chinese and a Clone" Let me start a BS rumor, <BS> Elon was born on Guam and is therefore a US Citizen, and will run for the Presidency in 2024 </bs>
- anigbrowl 4y agoWhy be a mere President when you could be an Emperor? Not really joking, there's an appetite for such.
- jfengel 4y agoNot joking, I can think of two reasons: 1. More than half of the people have said that they love you. 2. Just under half the people have said that they hate you. An Emperor has power, but he doesn't necessarily have people talking about him. An election gives you affirmation, not just that some people love you, but that you also have the power to force your presence on people who hate you. And they turned out to the polls to say so themselves. As they say, money can't buy you love. Or even hate, which also turns out to have a value of its own. Some people (I can't vouch for any particular ones) have that connection as their top priority, one way or the other.
