I don't think it tastes terrible at all, but I'm used to drinking matcha/sencha, kava and kratom. All are very earthy tasting, but not bad once you're used to this. I've never gotten much out of yerba versus tea, to be honest. It has so many magical benefits abscribed to it, but I think it boils down (no pun) to a lightly caffeinated drink and not much more.
