I’m a huge fan of headless but it’s still very much in its infancy. The cost to implement and maintain a headless ecomm site is leagues away from a monolithic store. Plugins that just worked with your Shopify store no longer work and require custom api dev/integration. Want a new section built or a small thing changed? That’s going to require design and dev. I’ve spoken to a few larger brands that have actually went back to their old monolithic store after spending hundreds of thousands switching. The future is headless but not just yet.
