Even in countries where college is free, students do typically give up several years worth of annual income in opportunity costs
- OkayPhysicist 4y agoYou're presenting an entirely new assumption, compared to what most people are discussing: that obtaining a bachelor's degree equivalent education can be done in significantly less than 4 years of full time study. In my experience, I don't believe that to be the case.
- giaour 4y agoYou're inferring that; I was referring to the income you can make in blue collar work. There are jobs that do not require a bachelor's degree equivalent education. Many young adults drop out of college (or never start) in order to take such a job.
