This is a losing battle. Basically they are providing training data for the surveillance companies. It's pretty scary that soon we will have more powerful surveillance than Orwell imagined in "1984".
- acdha 4y agoThe fact that research was published openly by Chinese students and favorably recognized by Huawei strongly supports that interpretation. That's more or less the polar opposite of what you'd do if you were trying to subvert mass surveillance systems rather than improve them.
