Are millionaires okay?
What’s the cutoff?
- Fatnino 4y agoHaving a million dollars puts you in lower to mid middle class. There does exist some cutoff and it can be haggled over where exactly it is but it is certainly below a billion.
- cipheredStones 4y agoHaving a million dollars puts you in the top 12% of household net worth in the US - while "middle class" is a notoriously loose term in the US, that's upper middle class at least. Median household net worth is around $120k.
- Fatnino 4y agoOk, that's for US. What are the numbers for California? That's my reference since I'm here.
- rexpop 4y agoThere's a big difference between a million and a billion. Here's a handy reference for getting the hang of it. https://mkorostoff.github.io/1-pixel-wealth/ https://mkorostoff.github.io/1-pixel-wealth/
- frumper 4y agoThere isn't a real difference between 999 million and a billion though.
- kelseyfrog 4y agoWhen does a pile of sand become a heap[1]? These questions are ultimately not useful and confuse rather than clarify. 1. Sorites paradox
- oneoff786 4y agoA billion sounds fine
