Such odd arguments, it's very simple to me. The problem is really that we like to work late, with bad lighting. All this would be resolved if we had proper lighting, as is mandated in every Swedish office in fact. But I like working late from home, so I have very poor lighting a lot of times. Therefore bright applications and websites hurt my eyes more than darker ones.
