Binance's Alleged Crypto Audit Failed, Not Even Its Auditor Would Vouch for It
- sdwr 4y agoWhats the way to short binance? Margin trade with their BNC(?) coin as collateral?
- elefanten 4y agoIf you think Binance is gonna fail, it would mean whole crypto market cap is going a lot lower. I wouldn’t count on any exchange to be safe. Especially ones doing cross-asset margin loans.
- moomin 4y agoYeah, collecting on being right is gonna be way hard than being right. See also: https://mobile.twitter.com/patio11/status/1590703441734926336 https://mobile.twitter.com/patio11/status/159070344173492633...
- Centigonal 4y agoperhaps you could short crypto correlates on traditional financial markets then. COIN, for example.
- sdwr 4y agoThere's a perpetual future for BNB at poloniex, but it trades vs tether...
- red2awn 4y agoShort BNB
- sdwr 4y agoWhere? How?
- BonoboIO 4y agoKMPG would do it, they vouched for Wirecard. For years.
- jsmith99 4y agoAs an accountant and auditor I would call this an assurance engagement, not an audit.
- bookshell 4y agoIt’s not even that, it was just an “Agreed-Upon Procedures” engagement. An assurance engagement would at least use a methodology the assessing firm would stand by on albeit with limitations. In this case, they don’t even claim the procedures are appropriate for how intended and unintended users might interpret the letter.
- firstSpeaker 4y agoThis is going to be interesting if it is true.
