- HPsquared 4y agoIronically vitamin supplements are unnecessary for most people who take them, whereas some minimum level of intake is essential. So the quantity of the thing matters. Excess amounts are nice to have, while a basic minimum is essential.
- brntsllvn 4y agoThat's a good point. I think the article highlights an important constraint, which is limited budget. Given a choice between painkiller and vitamin, in a downturn, I think most spend will go to painkillers, but some will remain for (essential) vitamins.
