I am somewhat surprised this site has some actual European news now. Last time I tried, which was about an year ago, at least 90% of the content US/UK stuff.

- chki 4y agoThat's strange. I'm reading policito.eu for quite some time and they are definitely one of the top channels for receiving EU related news and also focus very much on EU news. (Which makes sense, since they also have politico.com for US-related news)

- usr1106 4y agoGeneral news that are on TV mostly do not belong to this site. Not that I watch TV, but I am sure the EU parliament corruption scandal has been there. It has been in all news here since Friday. I guess in the US it did not make any big headlines. Whether it belongs into HN for that reason I don't know. The submission guidelines don't seem to address the fact that TV news don't cover the same topics globally.
