A Curious Astrological Confluence
- _a_a_a_ 4y agoSeems to be the work approaching time cube nuttiness: " Was this connected at all with Herod’s purported slaying of all male children in Bethlehem, 2 years old and younger, after inquiring of the visiting Magi as to the timing of a new star they saw rise in the eastern sky? Perhaps indicating a more sinister attempt at hijacking the symbology for use in a counterfeit Priestly role – a kind of Anti-Magi if you will – Why does the World Economic Forum now entertain the symbol inside their branding? As the WEF crescent Moon drifts into station in this horoscope, a kind of cypher if you will, an iconic and perhaps even fanciful yet ominous message comes into focus. The iconography of The Party residing simply one step shy of pirating His official trademark – paid in homage and deference to The Party’s coming false King and ‘savoir of Mankind’. The Son of Man would not surrender His authority at the Third Temptation, so now it must be stolen through counterfeit. At least, that’s the plan. "
- NKosmatos 4y agoWow! Didn’t expect this coming. Read it until the end, it’s highly fascinating. To be honest I don’t know if I should believe it or not, but it sounds well researched and documented. That last bit sounded like a conspiracy theory, but nevertheless it’s a good read if you like astronomy and old civilizations :-)

- DoreenMichele 4y agoMuch of the article is an interesting attempt to try to match star charts and planetary movements to a record carved in stone. If you assume the stone carving is a star chart and is accurate to some meaningful degree but not clear exactly what they meant by the symbols used, then it's potentially a means to determine an exact date. It ends on a conspiracy theory type vibe, which is potentially fun if you are into that sort of thing. But star charts -- whether astronomical or astrological -- are highly mathematical and can be used to mark a date because some things simply don't occur very often. One thing that doesn't occur often is the grouping of three or more bodies very closely ("in conjunction") and that's part of what is apparently recorded and investigated here.
- scrubs 4y agoArticle argues that the anonmolous 12 star has some connection to the birth of Christ.
- IAmGraydon 4y agoHow did this quack article make it on to the front page of HN? If you would like to educate yourself on the star/crescent symbol: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_and_crescent https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_and_crescent
- ssgh 4y agoThis article is certainly more interesting the the low effort stuff that normally occupies the front page.
- donclark 4y agoA fascinating investigation to read about. Thank you for sharing.
- amriksohata 4y agoFun fact the Hindu swastik (not to be confused with Hitlers Hakencruz) is based on the position of the big dipper https://spiritualpunx.wordpress.com/2014/10/09/2014821the-big-dipper-a-swastika-perhaps-where-the-symbol-began-on-earth/ https://spiritualpunx.wordpress.com/2014/10/09/2014821the-bi... The moon crescent star thing is probably linked to Islam as "Allah" was the name of the moon god pre-Islam.
