- ggm 4y agoYou literally can't though. Bruges and Venice and Amsterdam all deal with it to some extent. It's about ratios of old and new. Hausmann destroyed Medieval Paris. It's been going on forever. I have a fantastic coffee table book of vanished DC buildings called "Capital Losses". Well worth it, if you can find it.
