Two women bring class-action against Apple for AirTag stalking
- nullish_signal 4y agoMay I join the class-action, for Apple ruining my "WiFi OFF" and "Bluetooth OFF" quick-settings. With the release of all the "Find My" xyz, they've killed battery life by changing the above quick-settings to "WiFi 'off';)"[0] and "Bluetooth 'off';)"[0] I FINALLY set up Shortcuts (app) on my homescreen for Radio Off/On, saving myself the cumbersome journey to the Settings every time. Because my Quick-Settings was nerfed for the Apple Botnet ! ! The shortcut app can't even set the radios to this Ternary "off ;)"[0], which... idk, if I could always set my stuff to "listen" and not "advertise bluetooth", that would be a nice feature huh Apple? [0] listening? Passive? Really well and truly Off till 8am?
- system2 4y agoIf the user that is being stalked doesn't have iPhone, it is a major issue. He/she will never find out. Other people can pass by and verify their location while the stalkee doesn't have a clue.
- eternityforest 4y agoIsn't there a stalker detector app on Android now?
- jonas-w 4y agoApple has one for android https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.apple.trackerdetect https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.apple.trac... And there is also a foss app https://www.f-droid.org/packages/de.seemoo.at_tracking_detection/ https://www.f-droid.org/packages/de.seemoo.at_tracking_detec...
- eternityforest 4y agoIf I knew anything about/had an interest in starting a business, I'd probably be working on a P2P global tracking network in case anything happens to Tile/AirTag. The stalking is real, but the tech is close to life changing for some people.
