Creating ambiguity about a user’s ability to post increases the chances they’ll push the boundaries and real ultimate power comes from curating a small but quality following of approximately six hundred bluechecks and folks who don’t have one because they’re literal dissidents who can’t flash a DL so when they shadowban you it not only doesn’t matter, it makes your memes even danker. Performative, metrics based measures will always fail against fearless adversarial shitposters whose sole aim is to introduce an idea that shifts the Overton window, and you don’t need four plus figures in… followers… to do that :-)
- bediger4000 4y agoGiven that a majority of "shadowbans" were just Boomers misunderstanding how (A) the Internet works technically and (B) Twitter works specifically, this seems like a fool's errand.
