What would people think if NYT or WaPo had a weekly sync with FBI/DHS/DNI?
- krapp 4y agoAll mainstream US media outlets maintain close relationships with law enforcement at all levels, it's how they get access. This isn't a scandal.
- tomohawk 4y agoThere is a massive distance between reporters having sources, and reporters/news orgs having a weekly sync where the idea is to enable federal officials to censor what can be talked about. This is about as anti-US as you can get, and about what I would expect in the PRC.
- encryptluks2 4y agoI agree but this is nothing new. I'm more worried personally not about what is being censored due to national security concerns but the agendas and psyops being pushed by these organizations in the news and Hollywood. They should be fined into nonexistence for that.
- dsq 4y agoTrue, although in this case we are discussing active selective silencing rather than mere relationships.
- krapp 4y agoWe'll have to agree to disagree on that interpretation of events. Also, "active selective silencing" is a vague enough term that it can apply to all forms of moderation.

- Georgelemental 4y agoThey do, and it is a scandal. Journalists should not be asking government to vet their stories
- bediger4000 4y agoGoogle "ken dilanian cia". Happens all the time.
