There has also been gunfire directed at a crew working outside a hydroelectric power in South Carolina a few days ago. Attacks on infrastructure causing cascading power failures leading to severe blackouts followed rioting and civil disorder in cities is the go-to strategic fantasy among the domestic extremists I monitor for a living. They talk endlessly about it, but the more serious ones also produce propaganda materials with both exhortation and instructional materials. Some of them are sufficiently well-written and specific that they were probably developed with access to restricted circulation military manuals.
