Wow everyone in here seems really triggered by this! I went to a Montessori school from K-8. I would say it worked well for me before junior high. In middle school they had a weird blend of Montessori and regular school structure which was probably a good transition idea but wasn’t executed well. I think if the teachers are good it’s a nice environment for kids to learn and explore what they are interested in. I highly doubt the commenters who think that Montessori kids are dumber. But some kids prefer different kinds of structure. The idea is supposed to be that the teachers tailor your experience for each kid.
