The Scoop: A Return to the Office (RTO) Wave?
- 0xmarcin 4y agoCan this mean the end of remote work, or only a small subset of companies will be back to the office? Quite scary if you plan to stay remote in the next decade...
- jleyank 4y agoWhat if the covid period made people realize the cost and impact of commuting (personally, rather than environmentally). At home, I can do 8 hours of work in 8 hours. At work, I can do 8 hours of work in 8 hours plus twice the commute time. So, time in the office should be 8 - 2c hours/day. Want more, pay enough to walk to work or work from home. The environmental impact from commuting is inarguable.
- mikebonnell 4y agoNot at all scary, places that force return to office will get people that want it. Folks that want to be remote, will stay remote.
