The market seems to have rejected Beyond Meat. I wonder what, if anything, would bring vegetarianism into the mainstream in the USA
- mattnewton 4y agoMy guess is that it is primarily a cost issue. Beyond meat is 2-3x more expensive than real meat in most grocery stores I have seen. I know we subsidize the meat industry in the US, but it’s not clear to me if this is because of that subsidy or their business model just isn’t competitive yet.
- xnx 4y agoStock price is down, but I think sales are still increasing.
