When I work stationary, I always set my charging limit to 60%, pluged-in and that keeps my battery in good shape for years.

- lencastre 4y agoHow do you do that in Windows 11?
- MaxikCZ 4y agoYour BIOS must support that. My HP has "BIOSConfigUtility64.exe" downloadable from HP site that allows me to change BIOS parameters from within the Windows. Then I have 2 batch files containing: C:\Programs\SP107705\BIOSConfigUtility64.exe /setvalue:"Battery Health Manager","Maximize my battery health" C:\Programs\SP107705\BIOSConfigUtility64.exe /setvalue:"Battery Health Manager","Let HP manage my battery charging" For 80% and 100% charge limit respectively. Its nice that the changes take effect immediately, dont have to restart PC for it.
