I agree that it's almost certain that AI will just concentrate wealth and power. I observed years ago that the reason billionaires were so scared of A(G)I is that it was basically the only thing on the horizon that could disrupt their wealth/power in any meaningful way. Now that those same billionaires have invested enough of a stake into AI, they seem a lot less concerned.
