- pifm_guy 4y ago'highest paid employee' usually means 'has arranged ones personal financial affairs badly'. In the UK, being a salaried employee means you pay a rather high rate of tax, compared to other schemes used by rich people - like for example having some of the work done as charitable work, having mostly stock, getting paid via a company, etc.
