Isn't that more likely to be a measure to improve employee retention instead of a sign of a possible demand issue as suggested in the article? 11½ hours shifts don't sound very sustainable and would even be illegal in many other countries.
- ctvo 4y agoThe company that ignored Covid restrictions to push workers during the height of the pandemic to continue producing. The CEO that's all about hardcore mode, who installed beds so employees can sleep at work at one of his other companies. ... They're the people, in China of all places, who are now lowering work hours to improve employee retention.
- slaw 4y agoDid anyone died from ignoring idiotic covid restrictions?
- conk 4y ago6.6M deaths globally according to WHO (https://covid19.who.int/ https://covid19.who.int/)
- toss1 4y agoYes, according to hard data. More people died in Republican counties, who listen much more to the sources telling them that COVID-19 restrictions are "idiotic" before vaccines [0][1], and after vaccines were available, listening to lies the vaccines are ineffective and problematic [2]. These are a mere sampling of credible sources that I found in literally 2 seconds, merely searching from having previously read about the phenomenon. There are studies noted in [3] that put hard numbers on it, around 300,000 deaths in R-leaning areas that were easily preventable by NOT "ignoring idiotic covid restrictions". Mark Twain famously said that "It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt". The only idiocy is listening to the anti-public-health, anti-vax, and anti-science disinformation designed to spread discontent, and then attempting to rebroadcast it. Your (very unoriginal) opinion does not make you a free thinker — your ability to change your thinking when new data and information arrive is what would make you a free thinker. Try it sometime; it's less comfortable and smug, but those who do actually like it. - slaw 4y agoCould you point to source with how many Tesla factory workers died with covid?
- toss1 4y agoI don't know that off the top of my head, it is such a small sample as to be meaningless/irrelevant, Tesla likely is doing whatever it can to minimize and bury any cases, it sounds like you are attempting some kind of whataboutism deflection as opposed to seeking an actual answer, and you really should learn how to use Google Search or Duck Duck Go. Please think before you post. Highlighting your own ignorance and inability to reason well (i.e., look for actual understanding and not merely hunting to cherry-pick things that support your prior bias or ignorant view) is not a good look, nor is it helpful to any discussion. sheesh
