I was fortunate to travel a lot in my teens - all over Europe and parts of Asia in the 80s. I have perhaps a dozen photos of those trips, but I have lots of memories seared into my brain. Today my phone "reminds" me of experiences I had by showing me some of the dozens of photos I took. These are totally different experiences, and it's hard to say the more modern one is less satisfying. Perhaps over-satisfaction is a malady worth considering.
