Last Boeing 747 rolls off line after half a century of production
- ggm 4y agoWhat about the VC-25? What I read suggests that two 747-8 are in the boneyard, unsold to Russia and will be up-sold as replacement for airforce #1 but... they cannot be retrofitted for in air refuelling due to construction frame strength issues. To me.. that's kind of defeating the purpose of the fleet. It's meant to be able to stay aloft. But presumably they will come with a roof entry door and handles for Harrison Ford to hold on to outside.
