The parts that people care about, like cloud are not in the user's control. If you want your own cloud file sharing then there are apps for Nextcloud, and even an open source AppStore called F-Droid that has the open source apps. Google Drive offers E2E as well, and these announcements are nothing but lip service to something that is already being offered elsewhere to give something for Apple cultist to feel good about.
- joshgachnang 4y agoI'd love a source on Google Drive offering actual E2E, all I've seen is that they encrypt everything but still have access themselves.
