What is the chance that there is a law-enforcement backdoor? Honest question! Could be anything from "no chance" to "pretty likely" and I don't know enough to hazard a guess. But I believe the answer is important and I'd love to hear what the HN crew has to say about it.
- Obscurity4340 4y agoThe metadata for files (checksum, filename) is not e2ee so they can access that info and be compelled to provide it when served with a warrant. This is quite a clever twist on a previous theme. The filename and/or checksum might be all it takes to incriminate.
