    "Most jarring of all, the law grants civil immunity to drivers who ram into protesting crowds and even injure or kill participants, if they claim the protests made them concerned for their own well-being in the moment." That's a pretty low bar to get away with murder. But at least they had access to their bank accounts right up until a car smashed their bodies into the asphalt.

      If the protesters weren't directly threatening the people in the car, I agree. It's becoming more and more obvious that laws are ineffective without a shared culture.
