Do rural Russians think the war is going well?
- 082349872349872 4y agoOf those who repeat the Kremlin line, I am reminded of Linebarger's Psychological Warfare opening chapter, in which he remarks: > In the Chinese San Kuo novel, which has probably been read by more human beings than any other work of fiction, there is preserved the alleged text of the proclamation of a group of loyalist pro-Han rebels on the eve of military operations (about A.D. 200). The text is interesting because it combines the following techniques, all of them sound: 1) naming the specific enemy; 2) appeal to the "better people"; 3) sympathy for the common people; 4) claim of support for the legitimate government; 5) affirmation of one's own strength and high morale; 6) invocation of unity; 7) appeal to religion. where all but #7 are repeated in this video (although Putin does hit this note as well) Of those who would rather not say anything (probably safest, outside one's own kitchen!), I am reminded of the group Leningrad, where Shnur has been reduced to having to use "No fuck[ing way?]" as a poor euphemistic cover for the absolutely unutterable "No war". (Нет хуйне == Нет *йне != Нет войне) Which just leads me to ask: why has Роскомнадзор not blocked Youtube yet?
