Seriously though, does ROM no longer stand for read-only memory?
- userbinator 4y agoIt didn't ever since EPROMs existed. More seriously, the use of "ROM" to mean "nonvolatile storage in general" probably took off when the Android community began calling their firmware "ROMs".
- kichik 4y agoHave you seen any other vendors use that? I have only seen it being referred to as storage.
